Record Xmas sales for Bevco, fetches Rs. 154.77 crore in three days

Kochi: Kerala State Beverages Corporation or BEVCO for short, the fully state-owned company engaged in wholesale purchasing and selling IMFL, beer, and wine and running a chain of retail outlets, set a record in Christmas sales. The company website says it sold liquor worth a record Rs. 154.77 crore in three days from December 22 to 24. On Christmas Eve alone BEVCO disposed of spirit worth Rs.70.73 crore. The corresponding figure for the same day last year was Rs.69.55 crore. On December 22, 23 this year, it logged sales of Rs. 84.04 crore against Rs.75.41 crore for the past year.

The Chalakudy outlet of BEVCO contributed the largest chunk to its coffer. In the three days of  busines , the outlet recorded a total sale of Rs. 63,85,290. The outlet at Changanassery came second with  Rs. 62,87,120. They are followed by outlets at Irinjalakuda ( Rs. 62,31,140), Power House (Rs.  60,08,130), and North Paravoor (Rs.51,99,570)
