Lulu group will open Kozhikode mall soon, Yusuff Ali

Kochi: The retailer major Lulu Group spreading its wings in the State will soon open its next mall and hypermarket in Kozhikode. This was disclosed by the group’s chairman M A Yusuff Ali while inaugurating its mall in Palakkad.

He said that the construction work of the Kozhikode Mall was 80 per cent finished, and would soon be opened.. The group would also open soon malls in Thrissur, Kottayam, Perinthalmanna and Thirur, he added.

Lulu Group India, which manages the group’s Indian operations, runs Malls and Hypermarkets in the States of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

The largest food processing unit in Asia being set up by the group in Noida is at the advanced stage of completion, Yusuff Ali said.

The new Central Government policy of considering the NRI investment on par with local investments and offering incentives and help extended to them had made possible the investment in Noida, he said.

The 2 lakh square feet Mall in Palakkad provides direct and indirect jobs to 1400 people.
