All major markets remain shut today

Kochi: No major commercial business will be transacted in the country today (January 22) as most of the State governments have declared a holiday for the day on account of the Ram Temple consecration. Both the NSE and the BSE will not function today as Maharashtra officially remains shut. No activity is expected at commodity markets. The RBI has informed that the money market will start its business only at 2 pm as the Centre has declared a half-day break for State-owned commercial banks in connection with the ritual.
