New India chief for troubled Byju's

Arjun Mohan will be the new India chief of the debt-ridden edutech firm Byju”s. He is replacing its present incumbent Mirnal Mohit who is said to be very close to founder Byju Raveendran.

Mohit is bidding adieu to the eduteh after having served it for over a decade.

The man at the helm has been replaced at a time when Byju’s is in the middle of restructuring its business in India and abroad.

Reports say that Byju’s is planning to sell its subsidiaries Great Learning and Epic as part of a plan to clear the $ 1.2 billion term loan it had raised in 2021, Initially, Mohit had been looking after the firm’s international business.
